The DUT Partnership started in 2022 and steps up the game to tackle urban challenges. As a transnational research and innovation (R&I) funding programme, the DUT Partnership aims at supporting much needed urban transformation processes across Europe and thus strengthens capacities and tools to make urban change happen and boost transformations towards climate-neutral, livable and inclusive cities. Through R&I, we enable local authorities and municipalities, business, and citizens to translate global strategies into local action. The DUT Partnership contributes substantially to the European Union Mission: Climate-neutral and Smart Cities Mission of Climate-neutral Cities, the European Green Deal, and the Urban Agenda for the EU.
- The first DUT Call concluded in 2023 and produced 48 proposals across all three DUT Transition Pathways.
- The second Call, concluded in 2024, resulted in 42 projects suggested for funding.
- The third Call for proposal, concluded in 2025, resulted in 47 projects suggested for funding.
- The fourth Call for proposal is currently underway.
The aim of these Calls is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning.
To this end, the DUT Partnership is seeking experts to evaluate project proposals.
