Abstract:
The project DocTalent4EU: Transforming Europe Through Doctoral Talent and Skills Recognition is part of Horizon Europe: HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-ERA-01-50. In this project, TUIASI is in an active partnership with 7 other European universities, the Côte d'Azur University being the coordinator. The project will develop digital credentials under the European brand "DocTalent4EU credentials", licensed under CC-BY-NC, to enable widespread recognition of transferable skills and competences acquired by PhD students and early career researchers (ECRs) , with reference to the ESCO classification. To ensure compliance with high standards and quality assurance, DocTalent4EU credentials will be created and issued under the guidance of a Scientific Committee consisting of 7 representatives of the academic sector (directors of CSUD or doctoral schools for each academic partner in the consortium), as well as 7 representatives of the nonacademic sector (among the partner companies). This funding request supports the project budget by increasing the number of trips for the exchange of best practices, improving the IT infrastructure for teaching-learning and financing the pro bono staff within CMT-TUIASI and promoting CMT-TUIASI.

Abstract:
It is well known now the concept of nanofluids in the open literature. The necessity of developping new fluids (i.e. nanofluids – fluids with nanoparticles in suspension) came from the fact that heat-carrying fluids used in heat transfer applications have much lower thermal conductivity compared to solid materials, and nanofluids, even at extremely low concentrations, considerably improve heat transfer. IoNanofluids are innovative fluids, based on the nanofluid concept, defined as stable dispersion of nanoparticles in an ionic liquid, being called by some authors nanoparticle-enhanced ionic liquids (NEIL). To understand the behavior of IoNanofluids we need to understand not only the interactions between nanoparticles, ionic liquid ions, but also the interaction between ions and nanoparticles. At the same time, the success of the preparation of such a fluid depends on the method of preparation and the purity of the raw materials. Some of the most remarkable characteristics of all types of nanofluids are related to their improved thermal properties, but also other properties such as low density, permeability, electrical conductivity, etc. Thus, their correct characterization is extremely important for state of the art. Concluding, this project aims to produce and characterize new ionic liquids with the addition of nanoparticles, as well as to evaluate their behavior in a heat transfer application and is a logical continuation of this applicant doctoral thesis.

Abstract:
The thermodynamic study of chemical equilibria represents the core of many important branches of
chemistry. Coordination and supramolecular chemistry, chemical speciation, molecular modelling, drug
design are just few examples. The importance of chemical equilibria, and chemical thermodynamics in
general, results from the simple assertion that many properties of elements and compounds depend mainly
on their interactions in a given system: the biological activity of an element or molecule, or their
environmental impact can be explained by a detailed study of these interactions, whose nature and strength
can be evaluated by chemical equilibrium and other thermodynamic studies. For example, speciation
modelling based on chemical equilibrium data is commonly used in to improve commercial products
performances, investigate the mobility of pollutants and toxicants in the environment, optimize industrial
processes, explain the mechanisms of action of biologically active substances. Furthermore, advanced
thermodynamic studies yield deeper insights into the mechanisms of these interactions.
NECTAR will combine the expertise of the large community of specialists working in this field, creating a
network based on the stimulating collaboration between them, promoting knowledge exchange, and
achieving high technological progress. All this will be accomplished through a fruitful collaboration between
young researchers and experienced scientists, taking into consideration gender balance and maximal
geographical distribution. Innovative and integrated theoretical and experimental approaches will be
established and optimized. Overall, the outstanding quality of obtained results will serve as benchmark for
next decades, allowing their application in the above-mentioned fields and substantially impacting on life
quality of next generations.

Abstract:
The TERADOT consortium will implement this project with the aim of reaching its strategic objective: the consolidation of the consortium scientific and technical competencies (in particular those of the P3 partner with relaunch potential) in the field of econanotechnologies and advanced materials by supporting / developing the existing research competences and the transferability of its research results. The TERADOT Consortium is an alliance that will devote its efforts to capitalize the potential of nanotechnologies by creating new teranostic platforms based on Carbon Dots (CDs) in order to radically change the proceedings to diagnose and treat cancer. Building on the significant preliminary results obtained by the project's members, the consortium represents a systematized initiative, comprising four public sector institutions, having the potential to be expanded with private-sector entities, designed to accelerate the application of these new concepts of cancer diagnosis / treatment. The project consists of three distinct subprojects aiming at: 1. Obtaining and testing of some CDs-type nanostructures starting from imidic precursors, suitable as teranostic investigation / anti-tumor treatment platforms; 2. Obtaining and testing of polymeric biocomposites containing imidic CDs, suitable as teranostic investigation / anti-tumor treatment platforms; and 3. Developing a pilot-scale process for synthesizing CD-type nanosciences for medical applications. The TERADOT project proposes to achieve these objectives by accomplishing several specific output indicators, of which the most important are: the employment of eight young researchers, obtaining 4 new products, 1 new technology for CDs preparation, minimum 8 articles in high impact journals, 5 patent requests (4 national and 1 international) which will further facilitate the collaboration with economic entities as potential beneficiaries.

Abstract:
Nanofluids are defined as fluids that contain nanometre-sized particles with enhanced heat transfer properties. Since 1995, active research on this topic has been conducted (more than 1,700 papers in the last 3 years). Nanofluids improve the efficiency of heat exchange and thermal energy storage systems and they are specifically mentioned in the Strategic Energy Technology Plan and the Materials Roadmap to enable Low-Carbon Technologies as potential elements to improve the efficiency of heat exchange and thermal energy storage systems. Consequently, nanofluids address the European Horizon 2020 Energy and Climate objectives (Societal Challenges 3: Secure, efficient and clean energy; and 6: Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials). In addition, nanofluids fall within one of the Key Enabling Technologies (KET) supported by the European Commission. Although some nanofluid commercial applications currently exist, most of the current nanofluids are at Technological Readiness Levels (TRL) 1 to 3. Most of the nanofluids research in COST countries has been conducted by Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+i) centres through national funding. Additional coordinated research and development efforts are required to develop nanofluids up to higher TRL levels and to overcome commercial application barriers. If these barriers are overcome, nanofluids will be an important player in the Value Added Materials (VAM) for the energy sector.The objective of the NANOUPTAKE COST Action is to create a Europe-wide network of leading R+D+i institutions, and of key industries, to develop and foster the use of nanofluids as advanced heat transfer/thermal storage materials to increase the efficiency of heat exchange and storage systems.

Proiectul TechGo2 este o continuare firească a proiectului TechGo implementat cu succes în TUIASI în cursul anului 2022 şi are ca obiectiv principal reducerea abandonului şcolar şi actualizarea strategiei de inserţie a absolvenţilor pe piaţa muncii, corelat cu creşterea transferului tehnologic dinspre TUIASI către mediul industrial.
Rezultatele proiectului TechGo2 sunt axate pe: 1) studii şi analize complexe privind abandonul şcolar, inserţia absolvenţilor pe piaţa muncii; 2) consolidarea relaţiilor de cooperare cu mediul industrial şi crearea unui sistem de corelare între cerinţele de pe piaţa muncii şi oferta educaţională a TUIASI; 3) dezvoltarea resursei umane prin crearea de noi competenţe şi premierea rezultatelor cu aplicabilitate directă industrială sau realizate în cooperare cu mediul industrial; 4) susţinerea activităţii Centrului de consiliere şi Orientare în Carieră (CC- TUIASI) şi înfiinţarea unui centru local de management al talentelor (CMT-TUIASI).
