Abstract:
One of the important works that must be carried out in the fruit plantations is the removal of the green cover developed both between the rows and between the trees, on the row. The problem to be solved refers to the removal of vegetation between the trees, on the trees row, so as to ensure the protection of the tree trunks. The aim of the project consists in the realization, experimentation and validation of an intelligent equipment for the management of the green cover in orchards, validated in the laboratory-field, TRL level 4, which, with the help of LIDAR sensorial detection, confers the advantage of total trunk protection. The knowledge generated by the preliminary research will be used, respectively some product concepts (Patent applications: A-01072/27.12.2012; A-00992/16.12.2013) “Trunk protection system for mowing equipment on the tree rows”, respectively "Complex equipment for mulching", provided with some rolling elements, so that the contact between the tree trunk and the mowing equipment is made by rolling friction (less aggressive) and not slipping, TRL level 2, as well as the concept used in the project “Increasing the institutional capacity for research-development-innovation in the field of ecological pomiculture”, ctr.12PCCDI/2018, which uses LIDAR mapping technology, and a functional model of “Two-blade mower” for which there are experimental data that have not been validated, TRL level 3. The activities planned to be carried out by the 2 partners involved in the project, with expertise in the field and adequate research infrastructure, are likely to ensure the project feasibility.

Abstract:
Food production with respect to resource efficiency, enhanced productivity and quality is a world priority. Nowadays, one of the key factors in crop growing in protected spaces (greenhouses, solar houses, urban farms) is „sensing” the environment in order to be able to provide the best conditions for plants to develop and produce food. Usually, in conventional farming, the feedback is provided by the farmer which manually sample and analyze different measures of the growing conditions: soil humidity, air humidity, CO2 concentration, light, temperature, etc. As experience proved, these conditions differ based on the location they were measured, even inside the same greenhouse. Within this project, we will develop a wireless sensor network acting as a distributed measurement system composed of a grid of wireless nodes with multiple sensors (humidity, CO2, temperature, light) which will cover all the greenhouse area and will transmit the data to a central control station in a deterministic mean. Then, based on machine learning control algorithms, it will be commanded a custom-made control system in order to optimize the microclimate within the greenhouse (shading, CO2, substrate humidity zonal control, soil heat). The base of the system will consist of prior obtained results at TRL3, a wireless sensor node called DASMote (node for Data Acquisition Systems). Given the node, we will further develop custom interfaces for the interest sensors and control system, creating a network designed as a modular kit which could be adapted to any greenhouse with great potential for commercialization. The system will contain a web platform where the farmer could see in real time the evolution of the monitored environmental parameters.

Abstract:
Last decades, the concerns about the negative impact of agricultural activities on the environment, natural resources, and on human health were increasing, and in the world, interdisciplinary scientific research is needed to produce solutions as regard the assortment, pre- and post-harvest technologies. Declaring the fruit sector as priority for Romania's agriculture, and introduction in the NRDP 2014-2020 of a thematic sub-program for the fruit sector with consistent funding, requires innovative solutions from the fruit-growing research to be implemented in new orchards, to increase the technical and economic competitiveness in the field and reduce the fruits imports. An important part of the approved projects owners under 4.1a sub-measure Investments in fruit growing exploitations (we estimate establishment of >20.000 ha) required ecological technologies. Therefore, during 2016-2017, from the total amount of the surfaces designed and approved by RIFG Pitesti-Maracineni and its stations network, more than 40% requires ecological technologies. The main objective is to increase the institutional RDI capacity in the field of ecological fruit growing of public research organizations consortium. The Consortium is a multidisciplinary one consisting in 10 partners: 1 institute and 4 research and development centers in the field of fruit growing, 2 national institutes of agricultural mechanization and 1 in the field of pharmaceuticals, 1 institute specialized in post-harvest technologies and 2 universities, with expertise in fruit growing and the extraction and formulation of new ecological products respectively. The estimated results are: identifying of adequate assortments for ecological fruit growing, development of ecological products for nutrition and phytosanitary protection, realization of pre- and post-harvest ecological technologies for the fruit species and introduction into the productive circuit, elaboration of ecological technological packages, technical assistance, scientific and technological services, development of a joint RDI program in the field of ecological fruit growing, together with economic environment.

Abstract:
The Romanian consumer society is destroying the environment and undermining its future by increasing its dependence on foreign markets by losing its remarkable genetic genetic resources known for its adaptability to specific climate conditions and also for the qualitative taste. Organic farming was a niche area, but accelerating growth has led more and more farmers, processors and consumers to demand organic certified seeds and also vegetables products. The project is a generous set of measures with a unitary approach to the problem and includes: 1)Identifying the features relevant to the ecological system to create a new generation of distinct vegetal resources specific to: quality, nutritional profile, adaptability to adverse environmental conditions, suitability for specific cropping conditions and biological agricultural inputs for pathogen management and fertilization 2) The development of an innovative, environment-friendly technology for vegetable culture, with the possibility of extending to other crops that will ensure the increase of soil fertility, combating genetic erosion, maximizing the productive and qualitative potential of the varieties, developing new products for biological control 3)Integrated studies for the design of modern techniques for the production of ecologically certified seeds - a fact of high importance - the seeds of the Romanian certified ecological varieties are absent from the market 4) The improvement of efficiency of organic seed production technologies through new, innovative solutions for conditioning, maintaining and raising the biological quality according to the ecological agriculture peculiarities. Improving the institutional performance of the vegetable research centers and the two other entities in the consortium allows this ambitious plan to increase the efficiency of Romanian vegetable growing system, which will materialize in deliverables with immediate applicability and quantifiable impact, on medium and long term.

Abstract:
Environmental pollution is a major problem worldwide, and in this context the European Union adopted in the past 20 years numerous laws, directives and standards for its mitigation, monitoring and if possible, its control. Soil pollution is a component that contributes to the increase of environmental pollution, as soil is the key element that underpins food production for household consumption. If we refer only to the soil, the level of pollution is given by its degree of contamination with various pollutants, heavy metals, etc. Because agricultural products in general, respectively fruits and vegetables in this case extract water and nutrients from the soil in order to develop, it is necessary to study how a certain degree of soil contamination (at different depths) leads to the obtaining of some products (vegetables and fruits) which contain a percentage of those toxic elements, that can produce long-term sickness and can cause death in people who currently consume such contaminated products. The research carried out within the project aim to develop some original models on the correlation between the level of soil contamination, respectively the remanence of polluting substances in fruits and vegetables harvested for consumption in fresh state and of an optimal method to reduce / improve / remove / dismantle / control the pollutant substances from the soil, which will be correlated with a monitoring system of activity and impact of polluting substances / elements in a certain area for rapid improvement actions with neutralizing substances. Based on data obtained will be finalized and validated the mathematical models, respectively will be published at least 7 ISI, 13 IDB papers and will be achieved an European patent application.

Abstract:
In the context of current climate changes highlighted by a decrease in annual rainfall amount, both at world level and in our country, the use of conservative technologies for loosening among vineyards, shrubs and fruit trees,on the crop row without sensor for culture detection, represent a solution for farmers. In order to meet farmers’ needs, SC ARTECOM SRL developed an experimental model for loosening the soil, with higher and higher demand on the Romanian market, because equipments with sensors have a very low speed.
Within the project we’ll follow: testing the innovating experimental model of loosening among vineyards, shrubs and fruit trees in order to introduce it in production (based on an innovative methodology/method validated by measurements/tests/virtual simulation to optimize the equipment); optimizing the equipment structure (frame) for manufacturing the prototype and for series production.
The innovative aspect of the project is given by the modern testing methods of the new experimental, innovative model and its optimization, which will finally be introduced in the series production (after finalising its construction following the observations resulted after testing the equipment under operating conditions, respectively after optimizing its structure).

Abstract:
The aim of this project is to increase the competitiveness of the company - SC ARTECOM SRL through optimisation of the deep soil processing equipment – agricultural scarifier. This will be achieved by numerical and experimental evaluation of equipment characteristics, respectively through design optimization of it’s component with emphasis over the active tillage tools.
As a result of the optimization of the structure of equipment for working the soil at great depth (resistance frame and working parts), the mass of equipment should be reduced through better design geometry An increase of the mechanical strength and reducing the parts wear is expected, by this reducing the fuel consumption of the tractor through a reduction of equipment weight and reduced drag. As a direct effect a lower environmental fingerprint will occur (reduced quantity and concentration of fuel emissions). More than that, taking into account the conservation tillage principles as guiding design procedures, soil minimum disturbance will occur (through optimized working parts geometry), reducing the soil compaction (as a decrease of machinery weight); lowering the cost price of equipment manufactured by SC ARTECOM SRL by reducing the quantity of materials and raw materials, improving the manufacturing process as a result of optimization of equipment components. Through all that a competing advantage will emerge in comparison with competitors similar products, by reducing costs and improving the key performance indices of the optimized product.

Abstract:
The international norms require that during the railway vehicles homologation, they are subject to complex procedures for validating the structural strength to fatigue and extreme loads. Bogie frames presents a particular situation because their validation at fatigue by tests requires a laboratory with a significant number of equipment, capable of reproducing the dynamic cycles and a long time testing (4-6 months). Given the financial implications and the long time testing, the standards admit that tests for fatigue validation can be replaced by other methods that demonstrate the strength to fatigue, among them, the analytical method playing an important role, only if the analytical model to be correct realized and calibrated by tests.
For Softronic, which is the locomotives manufacturer, critical are the following problems:
- Validation to the static loads and fatigue strength of bogie frames for locomotives that are already in circulation, and for those who will equip the new types of locomotive;
- Validation to the mechanical strength of the control and board equipment, in accordance with international norms and vibration state at the mounting place.
Project objectives:
- Validation of some combined technologies, analytical and experimental of low energy intensity, for assessment of the fatigue strength and exceptional loads of the strength structures of railway vehicles, with orientation towards the validation of bogie frames;
- Validation of some technologies for assessment of the vibratory loads on the mounting place of the main board and control equipment and checking their mechanical strength, according to the standards and real vibration conditions at the mounting place;
- Assimilation of technologies realized through the project by the industrial partner and their introduction in the design and manufacturing of new railway vehicles.

Abstract:
As a result of overfishing for meat and caviar as well as habitat destruction, several species of sturgeon are close to extinction. There are many ways to save these fish, but those that improve reproduction and lead to production of larger number of juveniles deserve particular attention. Through this project we intend to develop a feasible technology for obtaining juvenile sturgeon all-year-round, applicable in sturgeon farms where fish are reared in recirculating aquaculture systems. The project implementation and making of some protocols for stimulating of out-of-season maturation of sexual products in sturgeons and particularly in sterlet, will create an original way for increasing sturgeon fry production by means of better use of hatcheries, broodstock, and human resources. Therefore, the sturgeon reproduction activity will not be seasonal but staggered on several months of the year, with good economic implications caused by this. In farms where sturgeons are raised indoor in recirculating aquaculture systems the farmers will be able to apply a more advanced management, due to a better use of production facilities.

Abstract:
Nowadays, it is widely accepted that conventional agriculture and technological mistakes, regardless of the level of social development, had a negative impact on soil and other environmental resources. Conventional agricultural technology, based on intensive processing of soil, by plowing and turning over the furrow and removing residual crops, followed by numerous secondary works, still remained the most popular, becoming „classic” in the minds of human communities worldwide. As a result of pressure from human communities, more concerned over environmental degradation, agricultural scientific research had to find a new alternative technology for plant cultivation, less agressive and which, on long term, contibutes to the improvement of degraded resources, and to the preservation of their quality status. New agricultural technology, called „conservative”, precludes the intensive processing of soil by plowing and turning over the furrow and the removal of residual crops, but requires to keep the soil surface covered more than 30% with plant debris and to keep the water in the soil.
Soil processing technologies have evolved in different stages, in relation to the material basis of agriculture. Although there are many researches conducted in the country and worldwide, this problem is always actual. Regardless of soil tillage technology, for good growth and development, plant crops require that in the soil to be achieved an optimal ratio between capillary and non-capillary porosity and a favorable regime of water, air and nutrients.
In Romania, the amount of arable land that should apply conservation tillage technology, without removing soil water, is more than 1,5 million hectares, which means about 15% of arable soil – located on flat land and about 3,5 million hectares, or about 34% of arable soil – situated on slope land. According to the estimations, under these circumstances, approx. 700 technical equipment for soil tillage in conservation system is necessary.
Using this innovative technology and technical equipment for soil processing, without removing soil water, a series of important advantages is obtainted. These are: accumulation and retention in the soil of the entire quantity of water from precipitation in summer and autumn; accumulation in soil of large quantity of nitrates by increasing the nitrification processes; obtaining a layer of loose soil, but in the same time laid-down to ensure good plant rooting; obtaining a lump-free seedbed, so that seeds can make intimate contact with the soil, and thus to be able to rise in the shortest possible time; obtaining of competitive production, both quantitative and qualitative, with low costs and high profit, while improving soil properties and environmental protection. Innovative technical equipment for soil tillage is designed to incorporate in the design of active bodies, that are the most subjected to wear, the newest discoveries in composite materials/nanotechnology, ensuring increased durability, high reliability and lower maintenance costs, compared to the materials and thermal treatments applied traditionally to these working bodies.
Moreover, this innovative equipment, which will be accomplished within the project and implemented in series production at MASCHIO GASPARDO România, allows the processing of large areas of soil, in aggregate with energy sources of over 200 HP, with working speeds of 2-3 times higher than those of classical soil processing machines. In addition, nutrients and water will be kept in the soil and the quality indices of soil works will be higher.
