Ioana Agache is Professor of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Transylvania University, Brasov, Romania, Affiliate Professor at the Department of Environmental Health, Harvard TC Chan Shool of Public Health and Past President of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) 2017-2019.
Her research in the field of Asthma and Allergy and Clinical Immunology focused on asthma phenotypes and endotypes, biomarkers, immune modulation, AI/machine-learning, climate change, exposomics and One Health. This translates into almost 300 scientific publications, 47530 citations and a 101 H-index.
Ioana Agache chaired the EAACI Guidelines on the use of Biologics in asthma and allergic diseases, the EAACI Guidelines on AIT for allergic asthma and the EAACI Guidelines on Environmental Science in Allergy and Asthma and is curently chairing the CSE3A AIT Guidelines for respiratory allergy.
