I have a strong background in the development of algorithms for autonomous navigation, the integration of multiple sensors into embedded systems, the processing of visual and multispectral data, as well as the use of frameworks such as ROS/ROS2 and platforms like Gazebo, Jetson Nano, STM32, and ESP32. I have participated in numerous international projects and competitions where I developed and tested autonomous systems—both ground-based and aerial—in real and simulated environments. As a Teaching Assistant at the Politehnica University of Timișoara, I have been and continue to be involved in a wide range of scientific research and technological development projects.

Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools can prevent wheat production losses and improve environmental conditions by identifying pests and diseases at early stages depending on the plant's growth stage unlike the current practices that are based on generic tools that lead to the excessive and large-area use of pesticides, but also to the lack of eactive actions in time.
Economic partners Agrivi (from Croatia) and Skyline Drones (from Romania) collaborate in the project to integrate high-resolution images captured with drones in the farm management software platform developed by Agrivi, aiming to advance from the TRL 5 level to the TRL 8. Farmers' use of this AI-based software solution represents an important step in revolutionizing wheat cultivation by detecting pests and diseases in wheat at early stages, which allows both the reduction of pesticide use and the application of preventive farming practices by generating vegetation indices for the state of the plant in various stages of evolution and for the variable application of treatments (VRA through multispectral sensors, thermal cameras).
This innovative solution has a significant commercialization potential because it addresses the challenges facing modern agriculture while promoting environmentally responsible practices. The new platform will be commercialized in the existing markets of Agrivi and Skyline, with plans to expand into new markets in Europe and globally.
